Experience
Owner, Katie Loew, is a bachelor's trained registered nurse with over 20 years of nursing experience. She is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and a Certified Pediatric Nurse.
She currently works in the plastic surgery department at a local hospital assisting plastic surgeons with minor procedures in the clinics. Types of patients seen include:
- craniofacial anomalies
- jaw deformities and fractures
- dog bites
- transgender surgery
- burns
- hand fractures
With 11 years of neurology experience, she understands neurological injury cases finding deviations from standards of care or explaining injuries, causation and damages. She has worked with a multitude of different patients including:
- traumatic brain injuries
- seizures
- migraines
- autism
- behavior disorders, developmental delays
- neurofibromatosis
- tuberous sclerosis complex
- anxiety, depression
She has worked for a health department for children with special needs. The job entailed running different clinics including the diabetes, neurological, cardiology, sickle cell anemia and genetics while assisting in many other clinics. Home and school visits were made with a social worker when needed. She began her nursing career working on a general pediatric floor. Some of the more common patients include:

- peritoneal dialysis
- orthopedic patients including spinal fusions
- gun shot wounds
- eating disorders
- diabetes
She has experience with analyzing and updating policies and procedures within the hospital. Working on in-patient units, in clinics and ambulatory centers, gives me a unique understanding to the workings of hospitals.
